มหาภารตะ มหากาพย์ที่ยิ่งใหญ่ที่สุดของอินเดีย เรื่องราวความขัดแย้งระหว่างสองตระกูล อันนำไปสู่สงครามที่กินระยะเวลาเพียง 18 วัน แต่ทิ้งรอยลึกไว้กับประวัติศาสตร์ วรรณกรรม และจิตวิญญาณของเอเชียใต้มากว่าพันปี
สงครามแย่งชิงราชบัลลังก์ครั้งยิ่งใหญ่ ที่เกิดขึ้นเมื่อราว 5,000 ปีก่อน ระหว่างสองฝ่ายในราชวงศ์เดียวกัน: ปาณฑพ และ เการพ ที่ต่างสืบเชื้อสายมาจากท้าวภรต แห่ง กรุงหัสตินาปุระ โดยมี ทุ่งกุรุเกษตร ดินแดนศักดิ์สิทธิ์ในรัฐหรยาณาของอินเดีย เป็นสนามรบ ต้นเหตุของสงครามมาจากความบาดหมางในครอบครัว ความอิจฉา และการแย่งชิงอำนาจ

About 5,000 years ago, two factions of a royal family fought it out in a colossal battle on the vast plains of Kurukshetra, a sacred and revered site in present-day Haryana, India. The 18-day bloodbath was of course about jealousy, power and familial grudges, but, with Lord Krishna involved, transcended mere mortal combat to become a cosmic struggle between righteousness and unrighteousness. Profound philosophical discourses, such as the Bhagavad Gita, unfolded amidst the chaos of battle.
Ancient Indian mythology meets advanced technology in this gripping fusion of drama, dance and live dialogue. An Indian epic of the grandest, most unexpected scale, the show blends storytelling with levitation, aerial stunts, martial arts and immersive visual effects. More than 50 performers appear in this gripping, electric production that will captivate both seasoned theatregoers and first-time audiences.
