Working with Wild Clay - From Earth to Vessel, a workshop by V Walton
Participants will learn about naturally occurring clay and its attributes, learning how to refine and process wild clay, drying, and turning it into soft workable material. People will learn beginning handbuilding techniques and will have the opportunity to make a small vessel, which will be fired locally and made available for pick up from Making Space Bmore at a later date.
A catered lunch, including vegan and gluten-free options, will be provided.
V Walton
V Walton (they/she/he) is a Maryland based artist and educator working across disciplines in sculpture, installation, and video. Their work illustrates the societal and interpersonal dynamics that build and break us down simultaneously, making multi-layered connections between clay[terra], nature, and the body.
