Deplorables Art Show

Deplorables Art Show is a mind-meld exhibit of art, music, and poetry. It is an all day and night combination of culinary satisfaction, co-mingling analysis, critical conversations, and final reflections capped off with toasting the night.

Deplorables is an art show in 12 hours, spanning the entire day, giving you an opportunity to live with the art, dine and converse with attendees, stop in throughout the day, have a drink with the art, dive into the music of the art, laugh with the poetry of the art, and celebrate the art.

Schedule of events:

• 11am-1pm: Brunch Gallery Walk
• 2pm-4pm: Conversations on Art and Influences
• 5pm-7pm: Dinner Gallery Walk
• 8pm-10pm: Poetry/Music/Dance/Vibe
• 10-11pm: Closing remarks and toasts

If you're strolling through Hampden along 36th street on Saturday, September 27th, you'll want to wander down Hickory Ave. (the block where you find The Bluebird Cocktail Room and Melanie's at Griffith's Tavern) the few short blocks to 40th street and hang a left. Walk a few more steps until you get to the wide open, double rod iron gates that open up to a chilled out tropical courtyard. Enter and get ready to relax, absorb, indulge, and awaken.

The exhibit is hosted at The Brick Bistro in Hampden, a unique BYOB bistro that offers private rooms for special events. The space includes a private viewing room, an open air lounge for music and poetry, and a bistro cafe for brunch, coffees, and dining. Be sure to stop by Red Fish Liquors and grab your favorites for imbibing. You'll want to sip your drink as you explore the art, music, poetry, and connect with fellow arts explorers.
