Transfiguration of the Lord: 6 PM Mass and Pot Providence

We celebrate the Transfiguration of the Lord with a choral Mass at 6:00 PM, followed by Pot Providence (a community potluck meal.)

The Transfiguration is one of the key events in Jesus’ life and ministry. He takes Peter, James, and John up to a high mountain to pray and Jesus is transfigured in their presence: his clothes become dazzling white, his face shines like the sun, and Moses and Elijah appear with him. A cloud overshadowed the group and God's voice declares from heaven, “This is my Son, my Chosen; listen to him!”
