The DMB Society Presents: Happy (or Not!) Hour at Peabody Heights

This event is also open to the family, friends, and partners of those who’ve lost a mother. We want to hold space for the community that supports us in our grief.

This is a casual gathering at Peabody Heights Brewery. They have alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. There should also be a food truck onsite. We look forward to seeing you all!

About the Dead Mom Brunch Society:

Dead Mom Brunch is an annual event hosted by, and for, those who’ve lost their Mothers. Our goals are Solidarity in Sadness and Laughter through Loss. It's a place to be on Mother's Day when being with Mom just isn't an option. It's relief from the trigger-inducing Mother's Day Industrial Complex.

This year for our 4th annual Dead Mom Brunch, we're doing things a bit differently.

The standard gathering on Mother’s Day will still happen and remains restricted to those who have lost their mothers. However, this year we are also doing an additional outreach event before Mother’s Day, on April 30th, open to family, partners, and friends as well as those who’ve directly lost their Mother. We know that the death of a Mother impacts all our relationships, often in significant ways. We want to honor the space our communities hold for us when grief becomes unbearable. 

We are in an era of tremendous loss and pain. We, the members of the Dead Mom Brunch Society, believe that grief is natural, complicated, and meant to be acknowledged, even when it makes others uncomfortable.
