Join us for a fun, meaningful morning for families at the newly transformed Jewish Museum of Maryland in historic Jonestown. As a participatory museum, we invite all ages to explore the stories, spaces, and spirit of Jewish Maryland—together.
What’s Happening:
Explore Together: Journey through our new Museum spaces and interactive exhibits with JMM Journeys, a hands-on activity book by Public Art Coordinator Naomi Rose Weintraub.
Enjoy Storytime (ages 3+): Mother Goose on the Loose presents The Story of the Five Balloons, an English version of a beloved Israeli book—complete with music, movement, and colorful scarves.
Make Your Mark: Design your own version of the Lloyd Street Synagogue’s Star of David window and see it become part of our new community animation.
Experience Jewish Maryland (ages 5+): Dr. Betsy Diamant-Cohen shares family stories in a lively, intergenerational presentation of Picturing Past + Present. Learn how your photos can join the project.
Become a Little Librarian (ages 3+): Donate a favorite book to our give-what-you-can/take-what-you-need Lombard & Lloyd Library on campus.
