BHN is hosting four Free Community Dumpster Day in 2025. Plan to go early, as it usually fills fast. The next dumpster will be at Dillon Street and Grundy Street on August 23rd.
Acceptable materials at the dumpster include household trash, furniture, other bulk items, appliances, scrap metal, cans, glass, plastics, paper, cardboard, and yard waste that is bagged appropriately.
No toxic or hazardous waste.
Unacceptable materials include paint, solvents, pesticides, pool chemicals, acids, caustics, gasoline, mercury thermometers/thermostats, syringes, fire extinguishers, propane tanks, helium tanks, batteries, fluorescent light bulbs, and any other solid, liquid, or gaseous substance that is regulated as hazardous by State or federal law.
Note: Dumpster arrival time may vary, DPW estimated dropoff between 7a-9a (may vary depending on DPW schedule that day). Please check the BHN Facebook page or in this event discussion for updates.
