Eureka Athletic Club runners will be competing at two venues at the weekend with the Club conducting the Harry Hunter Handicaps on Saturday and a large group of runners contesting XCR Round 7 at Albert Park on Sunday morning..
Locally, the run honours the memory of Harry Hunter who was a much loved supporter of Eureka Athletic Club.
Meet at the Clubrooms by 2.00pm.
Distances to be covered.
6km, 3km 1500m & 800m
Junior events to start at 2.15pm
6km & 3km to start at 2.30pm
Please bring a plate of food to share.
Round 7 of the XCR '25 series 'The Lakeside:10', will be held on Sunday 27th July 2025, at Lakeside Stadium, Albert Park.
Welcome to what could be Australia’s flattest 10km road race, the Lakeside:10. In the picturesque inner-city Albert Park precinct, the Lakeside:10 includes two laps out and back from Lakeside Stadium to Junction Oval on Lakeside Drive. You’ll then finish inside Melbourne’s premier Athletics arena, Lakeside Stadium! The Lakeside:10 is the perfect opportunity for you to hit that 10km goal, run a quick time or simply enjoy the lake’s picturesque surroundings.
The junior athletes will contest a fast and flat out and back 3 km course.
