Artist Statement
Printmaking is a process of transformation—each carved line, each layer of ink, and each press of the block onto paper is a step into the unknown. In Printed Possibilities, I explore the versatility of reduction linoprint as a medium, embracing both its precision and its unpredictability.
This exhibition marks a continuation of my journey as a printmaker, expanding on the experimentation that began with my first solo show in 2024. Here, I lean further into the diversity of linoprint, trying new styles and exploring an array of subjects. From historic Ballarat buildings to expressive landscapes, from animals full of character to vibrant still-life compositions, each piece represents a different facet of my creative exploration. Though varied, these works are connected by my love of color, textiles, and the joy of discovering as a new artist what is possible through print.
At its core, Printed Possibilities is about openness—the willingness to experiment, to make mistakes, to celebrate imperfections, and to find meaning in the process. It is an invitation to explore the beauty of linoprint, not as a rigid technique, but as an evolving dialogue between artist, material, and the composition.
The gallery will be open every weekend 11-4 during this exhibition period and by appointment.
