Ben Askren has spent his life fighting—for his goals, for his athletes, and for the future of the sport he loves. Now, he’s facing the fight of his life. After a long and unexpected health battle, Ben recently underwent a double lung transplant—a life-saving procedure that insurance has refused to cover. The physical, emotional, and financial toll has been immense, and now our friend needs our help more than ever.
Join us at Gordon Lodge on North Bay for a day of community, connection, and support as we rally behind one of wrestling’s greatest champions—Ben Askren.
Ben’s journey is one of grit, greatness, and giving back. From NCAA Champion and Olympic wrestler to coaching thousands of young athletes through his work with Askren Wrestling Academy, Ben has never stopped making an impact. His passion for youth development, combined with his leadership as a club owner, mentor, and author, has helped shape the future of wrestling for countless kids—many of whom have gone on to achieve greatness at the highest levels.
Now it’s our turn to give back.
Here’s what’s happening:
🍔 Food service from 3–9PM at Top Deck and the Boathouse
🍻 Outdoor cash bar opens at 2PM serving beer, wine, and craft cocktails
🎯 Lawn games will be set up near the outdoor bar—bring your friends and challenge someone to bags or ladder toss
👕 Exclusive "Funky Ben" T-shirts for sale — 100% of proceeds go directly toward Ben’s medical expenses
This is more than a fundraiser—it’s a celebration of a man who has always been there for others. Let’s show Ben the same love and support he’s shown to thousands of families across the country.
