🌀 We are using this opportunity to inform you about the event BRoMoLoGoS is organizing to mark International PKU Day, which will take place on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 12:00 to 14:00, at the Cultural Center of Novi Sad (Katolička porta 5).
🌟 During the event, families living with phenylketonuria will share their stories, and there will be space for open conversation and exchange of experiences about the daily challenges this rare disease brings.
The event is part of a broader awareness-raising campaign within the BRoMoLoGoS project.
Our speakers will include:
📢 Bojana Mirosavljević, President of the “Život” Association, on the importance of newborn screening (Guthrie test)
📢Ana Jokić and Tamara Maksimović Vujić from the PAR Center, on the role of psychological support for families facing a rare disease diagnosis
📢Stefan Živković, Project Coordinator of the National Organization for Rare Diseases of Serbia (NORBS), on the topic of systemic state support in protecting the rights of people with rare diseases
The cities of Belgrade, Novi Sad, and Niš have shown their support by agreeing to light up landmark buildings and monuments in green and blue—symbolizing the PKU community—on the evening of June 27.
The lights will remain on until sunrise, June 28.
Join us in the movement of raising awareness for those who don't have the strength.
