Join us for our Community Climate Action Workshop, a dynamic and solutions-focused event empowering our local groups and residents to tackle the climate crisis together. Whether you’re part of a Town or Parish Council, sports club, faith group, school, business, green group, or a passionate resident, this workshop is for you!

This is a participatory interactive workshop, where our community and its institutions (our Schools, Parish Councils, Sports Clubs, Faith Groups, Residents) will come together and write our Community Climate Action Plan. Learn the skills you need to enact your plan to increase biodiversity and reach net-zero over the next decade.

What you do right now matters. You can’t have a million without one.

Systemic change is required to combat the crises we face, but this can feel like a daunting challenge. How can we make it fun (and fast)? How do we do it together? What levers are at your disposal? Come and discover the tools, technology, organising techniques and funding available for you & your community to come together right now to write & enact your Community Climate Action plan & improve your environment.

What’s Happening?
At this interactive workshop, you’ll:

Learn about the five pillars of community climate action:
- Energy: Community renewable energy generation and energy efficiency solutions for homes and community buildings.
- Housing: Warm, healthy, and energy-efficient housing retrofits.
- Food: Nutritious, sustainable food through regenerative agriculture and community gardens.
- Biodiversity: Restoring nature with tree planting, wildflower meadows, and habitat creation.
- Transport: Developing green, active travel options like bike trains and walking buses.

Create an action plan: Leave with practical tools and resources to start making changes in your community right away.
Collaborate with like-minded people: Share ideas, successes, and challenges with others passionate about sustainability.
Access funding opportunities: Discover grant funding and support for community climate action projects, such as Local Enterprise Partnerships and Resilience Funds.
