Perseid Meteors & Storytelling under the Stars

This event is popular and car parking is limited please follow marshals instructions when you arrive 😊

This is a chance to have visit the observatory and hopefully see some of the objects in the night sky. The planned tour starts at 19:30 BST and is guided rather than fully open. Please arrive in time to make sure you don't miss any part of the events!

19:15 Doors Open
19:30 Short Talk - Perseid Meteors & Storytelling under the Stars with David Heathfield accompanied by Kimwei
20:00 Planetarium presentation
20:30 Tours of the historic telescopes and Lockyer Technology Centre
All followed by live imaging if the skies are clear


Bring a deck chair as most of the even will be held in our grounds. Even if the day is warm, it will still get quite chilly once the sun goes down!
