Jazz and Soul

Jazz and Soul brings together Avondale College’s top vocal, jazz, and contemporary groups for one night only. Enjoy performances from our award-winning Gospel Choir, senior contemporary band AD Soul, jazz combos, and the Avondale College Big Band.

This year, the Gospel Choir, fresh from the Big Sing stage, features the school’s most outstanding vocalists, performing Tinā Medley (arr. Seumanu Simon Matafai), Festival Sanctus by Victor Johnson, and I Know Where I’ve Been from Hairspray.

AD Soul adds a contemporary edge, with prefects Lora Praveen Gattu and Faletui Hall, alongside Maddie Tomilap and Riannah Stanley-Tito, performing music by Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, and Coco Jones.

Jazz fans can look forward to sets from our award-winning jazz groups and the Avondale College Big Band, featuring a mix of classic and modern repertoire—with performances by our Head Boy, Jed O'Brien.
