Sarah Sharp is an Austin-based jazz singer and songwriter whose signature sound fuses jazz, vintage pop, folk, and cinematic storytelling. Known for her warm, captivating vocals and poetic lyrics, Sharp has become a defining voice in Austin’s creative music scene, consistently named Austin’s Best Jazz performer. Sarah brings an unmistakable charisma to every stage, weaving together wit, elegance, and emotional depth.
This is her first significant release since “Phoebe’s Dream” of her Jitterbug Vipers days, which so impressed Michael Feinstein that he featured Sarah on his national radio show, Song Travels.
Feinstein noted its beauty and pastoral feel, adding of one of her originals, “That is the kind of song that has such a classic quality to it and it’s a song that could have been written a long time ago, and yet it speaks so much to the world now, and I think it will speak to people wherever it’s heard.”
Sharp’s pedigree includes touring internationally with the Jitterbug Vipers, whose 2013 self-produced album “Phoebe’s Dream,’ earned Top 5 placements in Austin Music Awards categories for Best Female Vocalist, Producer, Songwriter, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Band of the Year, and Best Jazz Band. The record was added to more than 90 radio stations in the U.S. and Canada.
Some of Austin’s most seasoned musicians create the foundation of Sharp’s sound. Her current band holds a weekly residency at Austin’s Elephant Room.
