Got a podcast idea you’re ready to take to the next level? Step into The Pitch Pit — a live pitch panel designed for creators seeking insight, feedback, and forward momentum. We strongly believe feedback is a gift, and there’s no better place to receive it than within a supportive, creative community like ours.

Whether you’re developing a brand-new concept or refining an existing show, this is your chance to present your ideas to a panel of seasoned podcast pros. They’ll offer thoughtful advice, creative direction, and practical next steps — and maybe even open doors to future collaborations.

All registrants interested in pitching live will be prompted to answer optional questions about their idea at check-out. If you are not pitching, you can skip them! We will select and notify participants 24 hours in advance, so please be prepared! This is casual and constructive, so don't worry about having the perfect presentation. Just show up eager to listen and learn!

About the Panelists

Stacy Bond (mod) is a U.S. Editor at Apple Podcasts, where she manages the True Crime and News category pages, as well as the Browse page on the app. Prior to joining Apple, she was a public radio journalist, both at NPR in Washington, DC, and at several member stations, including KQED in San Francisco. Stacy maintains an art practice, working with story, news, and narrative across multiple platforms, including sculpture and photography. She founded the storytelling pop-up series Joyride, LIVE in San Francisco, as well as the ongoing multi-disciplinary art event Artomatic in Washington, DC.

Stephanie Kuo is the Vice President of Content at PRX, overseeing the organization's content strategy, broadcast/podcast acquisition and distribution as well as in-house content and production development. She was previously the Director of Training at PRX, leading education initiatives, accelerator programs and creative consultancies for podcasters and organizations around the U.S. and the world.

Elizabeth McQueen is the manager of podcasts at KUT and KUTX. She is also the co-host and co-producer of Pause/Play, as well as the producer for The Breaks, a hip-hop podcast. Before moving to public radio and podcasting, McQueen was a professional musician who started and played for the band Elizabeth McQueen and the Firebrands and a member of the legendary Western swing band Asleep at the Wheel.

Katey Psencik is the Managing Director of The Drag, an audio production house built by students, professors and Moody College alums. Katey joined The Drag full-time in 2021 after working in newspapers, TV, digital media and nonprofit marketing. She also teaches podcasting and digital media classes in the Moody College of Communication. In her free time, Katey cheers on Austin FC and the Longhorns, listens to Taylor Swift and plays with her dogs.
