NOXX: Austin Punk Posters, 1978-1984

NOXX was a pivotal figure in the Austin punk rock scene from 1978 to 1984, leaving an indelible mark through his distinctive poster art. Specializing in black and white Xerox prints, NOXX crafted hundreds of promotional posters for shows at the city’s legendary punk venues. Their raw, angular energetic style captured the spirit of the era, and his work has been recognized in notable poster retrospective books, including The Art of Rock (1987, Abbeville Press) and Homegrown (2015, Texas Monthly Press), solidifying their place in the history of Austin’s vibrant music scene.
