As a dedicated gear party, attendees are encouraged to fully participate by dressing to "impress, distress, or undress," with the option to utilize a coat check to store their street clothes upon arrival.
2) Austin Memorial Day Bar Crawl Party 2026 | Saturday, May 23
The Austin Memorial Day Bar Crawl Party 2026 is a lively, self-guided nightlife event taking place on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 8:00 PM to 2:00 AM. This 21+ holiday celebration gives attendees access to multiple of Austin's hottest bars and clubs without having to pay individual venue covers. The experience includes an official crawl wristband, a digital map and schedule to navigate the participating venues, high-energy DJs playing party anthems, and festive drink specials at various stops.
3) Memorial Day Thunderfest
The Memorial Day Thunderfest is an all-ages hard rock and metal concert presented by Bishop Studios. Taking place on Monday, May 25, 2026, at the venue Come and Take It Live (located at 2015 E Riverside Dr, Bldg 4, Austin, Texas), this high-energy show opens its doors at 7:00 PM with the first performance starting at 8:00 PM. The event features a heavy hitting, four-band lineup, including the Austin-based female-fronted hard rock band Edge of Destiny at 8:00 PM, the industrial rock group Texas Microphone Massacre at 9:00 PM, the Los Angeles southern-grit metal band Stonebreed making their highly anticipated return to Austin at 10:00 PM, and San Antonio's Rebel Angels closing out the night at 11:00 PM (which will also feature a birthday celebration for their guitarist, Gabe).

Built for fans of dark grooves, surf rock, psychobilly, and horror-tinged garage rock, this all-ages show features a stacked, non-stop lineup with no filler. The sixth annual Memorial Day 1M, 5K, 10K, 13.1, 26.2 is a flexible virtual running and walking event organized by Moon Joggers. Designed to celebrate Memorial Day and honor the nation's fallen military heroes, the event allows participants to choose their preferred distance—ranging from a 1-mile run to a full 26.2-mile marathon. Because it is a virtual race, participants can complete their run or walk at any location they prefer, including on a road, trail, track, treadmill, or at the gym, and can do so at their own pace at any time throughout May or June 2026.
