Let’s Make a Junk Journal - Intro to Bookbinding

Did you know you can make your own adorable journal out of junk? In this fun class host Jennifer Perkins will walk you through the basics of bookbinding including making a fabric cover, creating a signature and a basic stitch.

Everything you need will be provided from vintage papers to pompom trim, but as always feel free to bring any favorite pieces of ephemera you might have like to include. Items such as old greeting cards, sheets of scrapbook paper or pieces of your kid’s school art work all work great.

Once you know the basics of bookbinding you are on your way to create all kinds of journals. Jen will bring examples of more complicated bookbinding techniques and different types of junk journals to get you inspired.
