https://www.instagram.com/abandcalled.ma/A Band Called MA has built a world of magical realism – using ambient indie rock to ask questions of the universe and explore the human experience.Austin, TX, based multi-instrumentalists Dom Sena and Austin Barker approach music as an open-minded experiment in connecting the dots of the unknown. Their sound is driven by 90s-influenced guitar melodies, and subverted with distortion. But where they stand out is the unique timbre of Sena’s and Barker’s vocal harmonies, creating a layer of mysticism with lyrics that explore abstract, yet universal emotions.
