About the Austin Academy of Burlesque:

The Austin Academy of Burlesque is dedicated to the instruction of burlesque performance and history. About Your Instructor:

Alexander the Great is an international award-winning aerialist, classically trained dancer, and Drag King based in Austin, Texas with over 31 years of live performance experience! He's been featured in more than 20 drag and burlesque festivals in 6 different countries. He has been making waves as a Drag King since 2015, establishing shows that carved out space specifically for Kings and underrepresented entertainers. He’s known for breaking the mold as the first trans man to win Mister Austin Pride and Mr. Austin Entertainer of the Year. Alexander the Great makes history again this summer appearing on the world’s first reality TV competition for Drag Kings, “King of Drag” on RevryTV! He's here to conquer the (gender) binary and invade your hearts... he's Alexander the Great!

48-hour Class Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your registration and get a full refund when you contact the Academy more than 48 hours before the start of class. When you contact us with less than 48 hours notice, your fee is not refundable. You may however, transfer your spot to a friend or donate your spot.

A 3 student minimum will be required for a class to take place. In the event a class needs to be canceled due to low attendance, students and will be given 48 hrs notice and will be fully refunded.
