Ballet Under the Stars - 2025

Metamorphosis Dance’s season will close with one of our favorite shows, the annual free-to-the-public production of Ballet Under the Stars at the Zilker Hillside Theater May 30-31. We're proud of our long-standing tradition of offering free performances at Zilker Park and we hope to keep this Austin tradition of live dance performances going for many years to come!

Ballet Under the Stars 2025 will open with "The Awakening of Flora" pas de quatre and "La Viviandiere", both staged from the original choreography by resident artist, Katrina Kutsch. The audience will also enjoy the Balcony Pas de deux from "Romeo and Juliet" with original choreography by Artistic Director, Melanie Kregel. Plus, a variety of works by our talented resident and guest artists. Spend the evening with our artists as they exhibit wonderful artistry and virtuosic dancing under the stars!

The show will start just before sundown, around 8pm, on May 30-31 (Rain Date June 1) at Zilker Hillside Theater. Set up your blankets on the hillside early to enjoy the park and watch the pre-show preparations of the dancers. This Austin tradition is fun for the whole family and a great way to kick off your summer! Whether it's your first time at a dance performance or you are a seasoned patron of the arts, you will be amazed at the talent and creativity of our artists.

IMPORTANT INFO:

Tickets are free. Please get your tickets through Eventbrite to let us know you’re coming! It helps us keep track of the number of attendees.

Show will start at approximately 8pm; arrive early to place your blankets in a great spot to see the show. High backed chairs are only allowed at the top of the hillside. Please be mindful when placing low chairs so that the view is not obstructed for other patrons.

Concessions will be available - cash preferred, but we will have the ability to swipe.

During intermission a bucket is passed for donations and any amount is graciously accepted. Cash preferred, but we will have the ability to swipe.
