10th Annual LIFE (Life In Focus Education) COMMUNITY IMPACT 2025 BANQUET

Please join Region 7 DFPS Leadership and Life In Focus to present the 2025 Outstanding Caseworker Awards and luncheon. Each year with the help of Life In Focus, DFPS recognizes caseworkers that have gone above and beyond for the families and youth they serve. This gathering is not only a moment of recognition, but also a chance to reflect on the values that guide our mission and inspire continued excellence across Region 7.

A.C.T.S. (Alcohol Chemical Treatment Series) Drug Education

Alcohol and drug education program offering a holistic approach that encompasses the emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects of an individual. Each lesson contains educational information covering the physical, psychological, and emotional changes associated with alcohol or chemical abuses. Visual illustrations and historical applications are applied to each lesson to enhance the education and understanding of each class participant. Each participant will, in turn, be able to relate the lessons into problem solving areas of their own lives.

Anger Management

A curriculum based workbook, we explore the cause and effect of anger. The workbook will lead the participant through the journey of themselves, their family, and others while providing skills and techniques to control anger and use it in a constructive and creative manner.

Parenting

An interactive based curriculum support setting that emphasizes how to take an active ”in role” in raising children by meeting the child’s physical, emotional, and mental needs. Teach parents the basics of child development so they will have appropriate expectations of their children. Teach parents appropriate, non-aggressive discipline and ways to manage and correct misbehavior. Helps parents recognize their strengths and use them when parenting. At some locations these classes are offered in English and Spanish.

Full Proof Man

Men’s online support group. In modern times, it seems that many men have lost their model for manhood. They lack a blueprint to build upon and follow into marriage, fatherhood and leadership. Through this resource we help men rediscover the pattern and plan for their lives.
