The Edgerton Explorit Center will be offering our Afterschool Club again for the 2025-2026 academic year for 50 students. The program will meet on Wednesdays when Aurora Public School has its early dismissal. Our program coordinator, SShawna Vinkenberg is amazing and very skilled at designing engaging and diverse activities for each session. The sessions will focus on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) topics and will include a healthy snack, games, and physical activities. This comprehensive approach ensures that students enjoy a well-rounded, educational, and safe afternoon. A noteworthy aspect of the program is our mentoring component. High school and middle school student helpers mentor younger students, assist in leading sessions, and guide them throughout the program. These mentors serve as excellent role models, and it is truly rewarding to witness the relationships that develop between the students and their mentors.
Included in the program:
• Busing from the school to the center each week.
• Open until 5:30pm for pickup.
• Healthy snack, physical activity, STEAM activities, hands-labs,
arts and crafts, monthly field trips, and lots of fun.
