Welcome football fans!
A warm welcome to our visitors from Sunderland for the match from the people of Augsburg and the organisers of Augsburg Calling.
Augsburg Calling is a peaceful and friendly community initiative by fans for fans using the combination of sport and culture. It is a Bundesliga award-winning project to promote friendship amongst fans and to prevent violence, racism and discrimination. Competitive on the pitch, friends off the pitch!!
To help promote football friendship on FC Augsburg’s Family Day, the Augsburg Calling team has organised a programme of events to welcome the fans of Sunderland to the city and to meet fans of FC Augsburg and discover the historic city of Augsburg.
Our Augsburg Calling program:
Saturday, August 9, 11:00 am: Fan Party at the Augsburg City Market We welcome the guest fans and the FC Augsburg fans in front of the market restaurant at the Augsburg City Market.
Enjoy our cozy city market and the Bavarian-Swabian delicacies of the market restaurant, listen to the hearty music, look forward to the game and get into conversation with each other. Food and drinks are available in the bars and restaurants in the market. We cordially invite the first 30 guests to a free drink!
Gerhard "General" Seckler (Augsburg Calling initiator and founder) will take over the moderation, David Hobora the DJ and Attila Tapolczai (

2:35 pm - 2:55 pm KidsClub Lap of Honour - WWK ARENA
Before every game at the WWK Arena, a lap of honour takes place with children between the ages of 6 and 13 walking around the pitch wearing their colours, waving flags and scarves to the fans in the stadium. The event is organised by the FCA KidsClub and Sunderland children are very welcome to join the procession wearing your colours.
Registration & participation requirements: All parents of kids who would like to take part should register directly with the FCA KidsClub at the following LINK by Thursday, August 7, 2025 (12 noon) at the latest. Please note the wording is in German so please use translate

The Augsburg Calling Program: August 8 - 10 You want to get to know our beautiful city? Your are invited for the following cultural activities: City Tour Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 11 am (German) and 2 pm (German/English) Meet at Tourist Info at Rathausplatz, duration 2 hours Augsburg is a World Heritage City, the third oldest in Germany with an interesting history for first-time visitors. Jakob Fugger was the richest man in the world in medieval times. Leopold Mozart, the father of Wolfgang Amadeus was a resident, Germany’s most famous playwright and lyricist of Mack the Knife, Bertold Brecht was a son of the city. Tthe city tour follows in the footsteps of Fugger, Mozart and Brecht along with other scenic and historic sights showing numerous highlights! Free participation only in fan clothes or with a fan scarf!!! Please register at least 30 minutes before the start of the tour at our Tourist Info at Rathausplatz. Offer is subject to availability.
