Passchendaele Commemoration 2025

Join us to commemorate the Battle of Passchendaele, New Zealand's darkest day, and pay respects to those who lost their lives.

On October 1917, in the farmlands of Flanders, Belgium, New Zealand suffered one of its greatest tragedies. The Battle of Passchendaele marked the greatest loss of life for New Zealand in any military engagement.

On this 108th anniversary, join us for a commemorative ceremony held in partnership with The Passchendaele Society. There will be time for personal floral tributes or a poppy to be laid at the end of the service.

Due to closures, this years service will be held in the Hall of Memories II
