Perhaps you have something lying around that you'd love to be able to use again? If so, why not bring it along and see if one of our amazing volunteers can repair it for you, free of charge?
These are the items we can take a look at (and hopefully repair):
* Small electrical appliances: mixers, kettles, hair dryers, fans etc
* Clothes: patching, hemming, being let out or taken in - please ensure clothing is clean with pockets emptied etc, and if your item needs a new zip, please bring a new zip with you.
* Small items of furniture - no bigger than you can carry
* Technology - computers, laptops, electronics etc - please bring charger/ power plug with you
* Bicycles - if you know you need a part, please bring it with you
* General DIY: Toys and other items glued, nailed, screwed, stitched or checked for mechanical faults.
Please note: We are unable to repair microwaves, large appliances, or 4-slice toasters for safety reasons. If we are unable to repair an item, we will let you know and give you some advice about where you might be able to get it repaired.
To enable us to help as many people as possible, we aim to allocated 15 minutes to each repair. If you have an item that we know will take longer than 15 minutes, we respectfully reserve the right to decline to complete the repair if others are waiting.
Cost: Free, but koha to cover costs of running this monthly event is warmly received.
