Workshop: Nature Journaling with Tom Howick

Join us for a special nature journaling workshop at Westside Park. This workshop offers participants a unique opportunity to slow down and reconnect with Atlanta’s urban forest. This workshop welcomes all skill levels, whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced nature journalist looking to refine your technique.This workshop will be facilitated by Tom Howick, a lifelong science educator and nature journalist. This workshop will include:
- Facilitated exercises to help connect you with Nature using your different senses; drawing exercises
- How to start your own Nature journal and time to draw & reflect in your journal

This is a great way to center and focus on the magnificence of the urban forest around us.

About the Instructor: Tom Howick is a lifelong science educator, naturalist, and nature artist. His study of science and art over the years has kept him connected to the natural world. Nature journaling continues to challenge and push him to become both a better observer and artist. He enjoys guiding college students and adults in classes on how to slow down, connect, and observe the incredible natural world around them through nature journaling. Learn more about his work here.
