Authenticity Theater is proud to be a co-presenter of the original play INDEPENDENT – JOHN CASSAVETES AND THE BIRTH OF AMERICAN INDEPENDENT FILMMAKING. This inspiring play is about actor/filmmaker John Cassavetes and his lasting influence on the film world. Using Cassavetes’ own words, the audience takes a journey from the tough streets of New York City to the conformity of Hollywood to the realization that freedom lies in carving one’s own path.

Written and Directed by John D. Babcock, III. Featuring Taurean Cavins-Flores as John Cassavetes and Madeline Brashier as Gena Rowlands.

6 performances – April 25, 26 and May 2, 3/7:30pm, plus April 27 and May 4/4:00pm. at Limelight Theater in Atlanta.
