Workshop Schedule:
Saturday, June 28th
12:00 PM to 1:15 PM: Chill Space (in the Black Box)

12:00 PM to 1:15 PM: Am I Normal?? What asexuality can teach us about attraction, orientation, and intentional relationships (on the Main Stage) - Do you question if your attraction and desire are "normal"? Labels often fall short in explaining our attraction or the relationships we want. In this workshop, we’ll deconstruct norms about attraction and orientation, offering language for more authentic connections. You’ll reflect, map your attraction patterns, and share experiences with others. People of all orientations are welcome to explore what asexuality can teach us about attraction, relationships, and society.

1:30 PM to 2:45 PM: Reclaiming The Flesh: Reframing Pleasure & Power in the Black Kink Experience (in the Black Box) - This open forum invites participants to explore the intersections of BDSM, kink, and shame within the Black community with their peers. Through candid discussion, we will unpack the ways historical oppression, generational trauma, and cultural narratives around power and control shape our relationships with pleasure, submission, dominance, and consent. Together, we will explore how BDSM and kink can serve as pathways to healing, self-discovery, and reclamation of agency.

1:30 PM to 2:45 PM: Human Centered Digital Privacy & Security (on the Main Stage) - We'll talk about why privacy matters, how to make an individualized threat model to better protect yourself, how to understand common threats, common misconceptions, and technology essentials covering passwords, multifactor authentication, choosing hardware, email security, and using VPNs. We'll close with questions and answers. Additional resources and continuing education materials included.

3:00 PM to 4:15 PM: Radical Rest: Reclaiming Joy & Pleasure as a Form of Resistance Storytelling for the Stage (in the Black Box) - Participants will learn about crafting and performing solo stories for the stage. Participants will be able to storyboard a full solo performance and then practice sharing a small piece of it as well as be able to give and receive feedback. I have done this workshop as a guest at Georgia Tech as well as with a few high school groups.

4:30 PM to 5:45 PM: Introduction to Film Photography (in the Black Box) - This workshop will provide an overview of 35mm film photography. The workshop will cover the basics: camera function, loading film, aperture, shutter speed and film speed, principles of metering depth of field, and focusing. There will be a portion of the workshop for taking photos and troubleshooting, plus a demo of unloading the film as well. Participants must bring a functional 35mm film camera and a new roll of 35mm film to participate in the photo-taking portion of the workshop.

4:30 PM to 5:45 PM: LGBTQIA Focused Self Defense (on the Main Stage) - A simplified introduction course for LGBTQIA people to learn basic physical self defense skills.

Sunday, June 29th
12:00 PM to 1:15 PM: Chill Space (in the Black Box & the Main Stage)

1:30 PM to 2:45 PM: Port to Possibilities: Exploring your Digital Ecosystem (in the Black Box) - Have you been wanting to explore divesting from big tech corporations and/or reimagining your digital footprint online? This workshop touches on the basics of digital security, open source software and self-hosted digital ecosystem possibilities. This is an informative yet playful look at how to have more digital agency and establish an ongoing practice of community over convenience. <3

1:30 PM to 2:45 PM: DIY Collage Oracle Deck (on the Main Stage) - In this workshop, create your very own tarot/oracle cards with scraps and magazine clippings! Tarot reader, Kaliena Bowen, will teach you how to imbue your cards with their own unique & personal meanings. Join us and get crafty with your craft!

3:00 PM to 4:15 PM: No Canceling Allowed: Mistakes, Messes, and Making it Right (in the Black Box) - This workshop is for humans who make mistakes—and want tools to move through them in ways that strengthen relationships and build a more compassionate world. We'll explore accountability through a transformative justice lens and its role in strong communities and movements. Participants will receive a worksheet with prompts to develop a self-accountability practice that fosters integrity and self-trust.

3:00 PM to 4:15 PM: The Playlab (on the Main Stage) - Things are getting weird... it's our time to shine. Come play some theater gaymes to help your nervous system chill, practice being charismatic in conflict, and learn some improv skills that I promise will make you a better community member. Somatics based & trauma informed, all ages welcome, no experience necessary, bring an open heart. Queer love kills fascism!

4:30 PM to 5:45 PM: Chill Space (in the Black Box)

4:30 PM to 5:45 PM: De-Escalation in Distress (on the Main Stage) - This training offers an understanding of mental health response systems and skills for nervous system regulation, de-escalation and intervention that allow those of us responding to someone in distress to make compassionate decisions.
