This special edition of BLKHLTH Conversations brings together voices from the community to shine a light on the realities of multiple myeloma and the power of speaking up. Moderated by Kimberly Alexander, who turned personal loss into purpose after her husband, NFL linebacker Elijah Alexander, passed away from the disease in 2010. This conversation will feature survivors Oya Gilbert and Tamara Mobley alongside medical expert Dr. Aron Kefela of Northwest Georgia Oncology Centers.
Together, they will share personal experiences, medical insights, and practical steps that can help patients, families, and care partners recognize the signs, ask the right questions, and take action. This is more than a discussion; it’s a space to connect, learn, and stand together for a healthier future. Come for the conversation, stay for the community. Enjoy:
