Το σεμινάριο Feats of Performing με τον Donald Kitt, αποτελεί μέρος του International Research Theatre Laboratory - OSMOSIS, το οποίο θα διεξαχθεί στο πλαίσιο του 13th HRTFest.

Πρόκειται για ένα δεκαήμερο, διεθνές εργαστήριο με εισηγητές του θεάτρου και των παραστατικών τεχνών από όλο τον κόσμο (Ελλάδα, Ιταλία, Γερμανία, Πολωνία, Δανία, Η.Π.Α.), το οποίο θα καταλήξει στη δημιουργία της ομώνυμης παράστασης, Osmosis - The Performance: ένα ανοιχτό παν-καλλιτεχνικό jam με τη σκηνοθετική υπογραφή της Fabrica Athens, το οποίο θα σφραγίσει τη τελετή λήξης του Φεστιβάλ.

Περιγραφή Εργαστηρίου:

Το εργαστήριο θα εστιάσει σε πολλές παραμέτρους:
Στην σωματική εκπαίδευση των ηθοποιών
Στην ανάπτυξη των πράξεων εμπνευσμένων από τη χρήση ενός αντικειμένου
Στη φωνητική εξερεύνηση: την ανακάλυψη ενός ατομικού ρυθμού, την χωρική επίγνωση και τον δυναμισμό
Το έργο του ερμηνευτή εξελίσσεται με την δημιουργία προσωπικού υλικού με ένα αντικείμενο ως συνεργάτη και κορυφώνεται με ένα μοντάζ.
Καθ' όλη τη διάρκεια της παραγωγής αυτού του υλικού, ο ερμηνευτής θα το συνδυάσει με κείμενα, τραγούδια και τη χρήση του χώρου.
Το εργαστήριο στοχεύει στην ενθάρρυνση μιας προσωπικής διαδικασίας που ανοίγει κρυμμένα νοήματα.

Βιογραφικό: Ο Donald Kitt γεννήθηκε στον Καναδά το 1964, λίγες μόνο μέρες μετά τη γέννηση του Odin Teatret. Αφού σπούδασε στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Winnipeg, έπαιξε σε πολλές παραστάσεις μέχρι το 1989, όταν συνίδρυσε το Primus Theater στον Καναδά, μια ομάδα αφιερωμένη σε πρωτότυπες, διεπιστημονικές παραστάσεις που περιόδευσαν σε όλο τον Καναδά, τις ΗΠΑ και την Ευρώπη. Μετά την παύση των δραστηριοτήτων της ομάδας το 1998, ο Donald Kitt μετακόμισε στην Ιταλία όπου εργάστηκε ως ερμηνευτής, δάσκαλος και καθηγητής ξυλοπόδαρων. Σπούδασε και ερμήνευσε χορό Topeng στο Μπαλί (1996) υπό την καθοδήγηση του Μπαλινέζου Δασκάλου I Made Djimat. Το 2006 εντάχθηκε στο Θέατρο Odin και τώρα, εκτός από την υποκριτική, σκηνοθετεί, παίζει πάνω σε ξυλοπόδαρα, διδάσκει σε εργαστήρια και εκπαιδεύει νέους ξυλοπόδαρους και ερμηνευτές που ασχολούνται με ανταλλαγές και μεταμορφώσεις.

The seminar Feats of Performing with Donald Kitt, is part of the International Research Theater Laboratory - OSMOSIS, which will be held as part of the 13th HRTFest.

It is a ten-day, international laboratory with trainers of theater and performing arts from all over the world (Greece, Italy, Germany, Poland, Denmark, USA), which will end in the creation of the show Osmosis - The Performance: an open artistic jam with the directon of Fabrica Athens, which will seal the closing ceremony of the Festival.

Workshop Description:

The work will focus on several aspects:
the performers physical training
the development of actions inspired by the use of an object
vocal exploration: the discovery of an individual rhythm, spacial awareness and dynamism
The performer's work evolves from the creation of personal material with an object as a partner and culminates with a montage.
Throughout the development of this material the performer will weave it with texts, songs and the use of space.
The workshop aims at encouraging a personal process opening up hidden meanings.

Bio: Donald Kitt was born in Canada in 1964, just a few days after Odin Teatret was born. After studying at the University of Winnipeg, he acted in many performances until 1989, when he co-created Primus Theatre in Canada, a company dedicated to original, multi-disciplinary performances which toured throughout Canada, USA and Europe. After the group ceased its activities in 1998, Donald Kitt moved to Italy where he worked as a performer, teacher and stilt instructor. Donald studied and performed Topeng dance in Bali (1996) under the guidance of the Balinese Master I Made Djimat. In 2006 Donald joined Odin Teatret and now, as well as acting, he directs, performs on stilts, teaches workshops and instructs young stilters and performers involved in barters and transformances.
