Town & Gown Players are holding auditions for their first main stage show of the season, The Shadow Box, written by Michael Cristofer and directed by Richard Chaney.
Auditions are M-Tu, Aug 11-12th, 7-9pm. Performance dates are Oct 3rd-12th.
Told with laughter and tears, The Shadow Box shows how hope and love sustain three people facing death: a blue collar worker, a bisexual writer and an elderly woman with dementia.
CHARACTERS
Joe (40s - 60s), a blue collar worker
Maggie (40s - 60s); Joe's anxious wife
Steve, their adolescent child, could be male or female
Brian (40s - 60s), a bisexual writer
Mark (20s - 30s), Brian's young lover
Beverly (40s - 50s), Brian's flamboyant ex-wife
Felicity (60s - 70s), a woman with dementia
Agnes (30s - 40s), Felicity's devoted daughter
