Beginner Basics in Aqua Oil Workshop

Come learn to oil paint with these user-friendly and safe, solvent-free paints. Our aqua oils offer the same pigment quality and working characteristics of traditional oil colors while allowing soap-and-water cleanup.

In this one-day workshop for adults led by local artist Lauren Adams, we'll make an "alla prima" painting while we learn the essentials of oil painting. We'll use solvent-free colors, practice our technique with quality materials, and explore the importance of value, color, and composition.

This is a foundations workshop where you'll learn skills needed to begin painting with aqueous oils. We'll get to know the materials and essential methods. We'll explore the importance of value, color, and composition. We'll have demonstration, group discussion, and plenty of individual attention. Plus, you'll get to spend some quality time painting in a relaxed and encouraging environment.
