Athens Community Theatre (ACT) is pleased to present the Tony Award-winning, Roald Dahl's Matilda The Musical, directed by Michael Webb, August 15 - 24, 2025.
The production is supported by Music Director, Brittany Duggan, and Choreographer, Ethan Léon, as well as Dance Captains Holland Borwick, Sophia Lauterbach, and Madison Watts.
Inspired by the twisted genius of Roald Dahl, the Tony Award-winning Roald Dahl's Matilda The Musical is the captivating masterpiece from the Royal Shakespeare Company that revels in the anarchy of childhood, the power of imagination and the inspiring story of a girl who dreams of a better life. With book by Dennis Kelly and original songs by Tim Minchin, Matilda has won 47 international awards and continues to thrill sold-out audiences of all ages around the world.
Roald Dahl's Matilda The Musical opens the Athens Community Theatre Mainstage 2025 - 26 season. Show dates and times are Fridays and Saturdays, August 15, 16, 22, and 23 at 7:00 PM, and Sundays August 17 and 24 at 2:00 PM.. Prices for ACT tickets range from $15 to $25. Patrons are encouraged to purchase tickets early, as ACT events tend to sell out on, or before, the performance date.
