Welcome to Resonance, a special BDSM:101 tasting event tailored for those who are new, returning and/or curious about what the kink community and/or BDSM has to offer. Unlike our other membership-driven events, Resonance was created for the public, and provides a safe space for both individuals and couples to experience community, seek professional guidance, and explore BDSM with transparency, leadership and integrity at its core.
With assistance from a knowledgeable team of kinky practitioners, you can expect to learn how to use and experience a wide variety of BDSM toys and modalities. Arrive with questions and leave with answers, this event is open to all, with no limit on the amount of non-member tickets available for purchase.
Event Timeline
7PM/DOORS OPEN: Kick off the evening with a relaxed social hour where connections begin, use this time to tour the space and ask questions to our experienced practitioners. Enjoy the BYOB bar and please bring a snack to contribute to the snack table!
8PM/KINKY CONNECTIONS: Next, we meet for a set of guided, open and honest one-on-one discussions that are proven to provide attendees with a greater sense of like-mindedness and community.
9:30PM/CLOSING CIRCLE: We come together and reflect on the experience of engaging with others during the facilitated conversations as well as setting intentions for the rest of the evening.
10PM-MIDNIGHT/BDSM NEGOTIATIONS, TASTINGS AND DEMOS: Learn how to properly negotiate for play scenes with four experienced practitioners, explore a wide range of BDSM modalities, furniture and toys!
FAQ
This is my first kink/BDSM event ever, how do you support anxious first timers?
Resonance was created in dedication to newcomers, especially those who may have experienced a spectrum of anxiety, shame, stigma, and preconceived notions. This event offers a safe space for people to ask questions and explore without judgement. We always welcome everyone at the door and have people available to talk through your stress and possible triggers.
What if I’m not a member? Can I still attend this event?
Yes, absolutely! This is an excellent event for members to bring their own friends, offer support and model leadership.
What else do I need to know before arriving?
We have a communal snack table, please bring a snack to share and a beverage of your choice. Water, tea, coffee and lollipops are always available!
Dress code is “comfortable and confident”. While we are not a dungeon, per se, we suggest that you wear whatever makes you feel like your best self.

Time: August 16th, 7PM - Midnight
To enter, push the outside/street door firmly. The space is located at the top of the steps. Unfortunately, The Sanctuary of East Harlem is not wheelchair accessible, attendees must be able to walk-up a flight of twenty steps.
