Join us for an unforgettable hike in the heart of the Shouf District, exploring the largest natural reserve in Lebanon – the Shouf Biosphere Reserve.
🗺 Trail Description
We start at Barouk Cedar Reserve (1,700m) and ascend to the summit of Barouk Mountain (1,944m). From there, we descend through scenic cedar forests to Ain Zhalta Cedar Reserve, ending our hike at the Ain Zhalta reserve entrance (1,380m).

Trail type: One way
Terrain: Footpath, dirt road
Distance: ~14 km
Moving time: ~4.5 hrs
Total time: ~5.5 hrs
Difficulty: Moderate (5/10)
Elevation: 1,380m → 1,944m
🕖 Meeting Points:
Byblos Bank Okaibe – 7:15 AM
Al Nahar Newspaper, Downtown Beirut – Departure at 7:45 AM
(Pick-up available along the way)
⏰ Estimated return to Beirut: 6:00 PM

Hiking/sports pants & hiking shoes (mandatory)
