June First Friday Art Show "Wild" with artist Kay Hagen

From Kay: As I thought about this show, the name “Wild” felt right because the characters in the show are “Wild”. The song “Wild Thing” by the Troggs resonates because it accurately describes my feelings about nature and her amazing gifts that she gives to us. My hope is that this show will inspire you to protect, participate, and enjoy all of this beauty given to us so freely.

Kay Hagen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She works in private practice with adults and with those who have intellectual and emotional disabilities. She has been a lifelong artist, working in a variety of mediums and has shown her art in several shows in California and Oregon.

Kay has reverence for all aspects of the environment. This is reflected in her spiritual practices of gratitude, honoring, respecting and caring for the animals, the earth, and the community. These concerns are expressed in her art.

As a reflection of her passion for taking care of ll aspects of our environment, Kay has "coined" a term called "Earth Bones". This is a concept of giving to those who need assistance. All of the proceeds from her art go to "Earth Bones".
