The Loudoun Community Breakfast

Life can be stressful – you can say that again! We are all dealing with CHANGE, both invited and uninvited. This event gives you an opportunity to meet with old friends and meet new friends. We all have stories to tell and we long for Community. Please join us!

This breakfast is free, informative, and provides a fun yet meaningful setting to get to know others in your Loudoun County community. Networking is a mild part of the morning and not the primary focus. The focus is to connect with the many stories you’ll discover about the men and women who live, work, and play in our Community.

The event begins with coffee and a little networking, then is followed by breakfast. We will provide a few questions that will charge up the table discussion.

Then you will hear from our storyteller: Paul Allen

Paul Allen will share his story at this breakfast. A little about Paul...

Paul was born and raised in Atlanta Georgia. His family was very supportive and loving. His mom, dad, and sister took stability to the extreme by living in the same house for 60 years!

Paul played baseball and basketball in high school. However, the game he played best was academics. That skill carried him to four different degrees and gave him the opportunity to live in three different regions of this country and study one year in Europe.

Upon completing his student odyssey, he served as a professor of finance at LSU in Baton Rouge. He also played that game well and then took on a new challenge - jobs in the real world.

Paul started in the isolated world of regulated industries (Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, and Dime Bancorp) then decided to operate without a safety net and start his own business...again and again.

But that’s not all. While his professional reputation grew, so did Paul’s family. He and his wife Denise live in Oakton (Same house for 24 years. See the pattern?) and have three children, each at various stages of developing their independence. While the kids were growing up, Paul and Denise were very active in their lives.

At each point along the way (spanning 20+ years), Paul built a reputation of honesty, integrity, and transparency in all his relationships. His reliability and character were his currency.
