You are invited to join us to talk about your Shrovetide Game experiences and memories. If you are a player, ex-player, spectator, committee member, local resident, or if you have ever visited the Game as a child or adult, please join us to talk about what aspects of the Game are important to you.
Please bring along any photographic prints or objects that you own for us to photograph or scan to illustrate your story and memories.
We are gathering content for a community exhibition and archive that illustrates the Game and its
importance to local heritage, identity and place. Our work includes interviews, oral histories and photography with people in Ashbourne.
The project is delivered by GRAIN Projects with artist Kelly O'Brien and is supported by Historic England.
