Dance is Life! A FREE Hustle Dance Party

NEWS! We are thrilled to join @north2shore again Sat, June 21 at 7:30pm at the historic Carousel Building! Back by popular demand…Asbury Park Dance Festival presents Dance is Life. This year will be a gorgeous illuminated evening event by @luminous_abstract !This inclusive, free Hustle social dance party—a mixture of instruction, demonstration and social interaction–engages our community physically while sharing the Hustle’s expansive vision of the dance floor, its origins in the early ’70s, and deep connection to civil rights, gay rights, women’s rights and American culture. Led by former Principal Dancer with the Martha Graham Dance Company and Hustle evangelist, Abdiel Jacobsen, and world renowned DJ and co-founder of Soul in the Horn, Natasha Diggs, participants of all skill levels will experience, firsthand, this vibrant dance form. A Dance Is Life event brings the art of dance directly to the attendees in a welcoming, celebratory environment.
