Hat Making Workshop: Baker Boy Caps

Join us in Arundel for our Baker Boy hat making workshop. Also known as an eight-panel or newsboy cap, this timeless classic can be created from linen for a summer vibe or a cosy wool or tweeds for winter style.

Date: Monday 6th October, 9.30am - 4.00pm

Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced makers who are comfortable using a sewing machine.

During this hands-on workshop you will learn:
Pattern Marking: How to accurately mark and cut out the eight-panelled Baker Boy pattern.
Hat Assembly: Techniques to stitch panels together and shape your hat with precision.
Lining: Create a professional finish by adding a fully lined interior.
Finishing Touches: Add details like topstitching and a button for that classic Baker Boy look.
What to expect

A full day of expert guidance from milliner Isabella Josie, who will share tips and tricks to achieve a polished result.
Use of all tools and materials provided, including a range of fabrics to suit your preferred style.
Depending on your sewing speed, leave with a completed hat.
