Autumn Historic Gathering

Turn back time and admire a large collection of over 150 historic vehicles from vintage cars, commercial and public transport vehicles, stationary engines and motorcycles from over 100 years of transport history.

This event has taken place since 1978 and celebrates the Museum, its collections and volunteers. It is one of the highlights of the year and offers visitors the opportunity to see and find out more about a wide range of vehicles, against the unique backdrop of Amberley Museum.

What can visitors see and do at this event?

View and photograph over 150 historic vehicles and engines including the following:

Classic Cars from pre-1931 up to 1972
Motorcycles
Commercial vehicles
Steam powered vehicles
Military vehicles
Stationary Engines
Buses
Reminisce with Museum Volunteers and vehicle owners.

Ride on a vintage bus and our steam train.

Drive a Locomotive: Take the controls of a locomotive on one of our industrial lines (without a train attached) for a unique hands-on experience. (Suggested donation of £5 applies for this activity)
