Rossini’s Petite messe solennelle

Join us for a powerful and rarely heard performance of Gioachino Rossini’s Petite messe solennelle — a work of deep spiritual expression and operatic brilliance, presented in its original version for piano, harmonium, and chorus.

Presented by Ottawa Choral Workshops and conducted by Roland Graham, this concert features four exceptional Canadian soloists:

This is the first of two performances of Rossini’s extraordinary “final sin of old age” — a sacred masterpiece full of drama, intimacy, and soaring beauty. Audiences can expect a moving evening of music that bridges operatic flair and devotional depth in the stunning St. John Chrysostom Church in Arnprior.
