Who Were the Enslaved at the Ball-Sellers House?

The Ball-Sellers House is celebrating 50 years of ownership of this c.1750 farmhouse after Marian Sellers donated it to the Arlington Historical Society for $10. We have so much history to share, we're launching a new mini history series twice a month on select Saturdays at 2:00 pm.

To help commemorate Juneteenth, we'll learn about the three enslaved people who toiled at the Ball-Sellers House. Jessica Kaplan, the project leader for the Memorializing the Enslaved in Arlington joint project between the Arlington Historical Society and the Black Heritage Museum of Arlington will talk to us about who and the Carlin women who enslaved them. She'll talk about some of the key pieces of history that helped us peer into this window on the history of this house and Arlington.
