• 1:00pm-2:30pm: Preparing for Change/Transferable Skills Workshop

Join us for this engaging 90-minute virtual workshop designed to support federal employees preparing to transition into private sector careers. Explore key differences between sectors, assess your strengths, and gain practical tools for career exploration, resume writing, job searching, interviewing, and maintaining resilience through change. Session Instructor: Muhanad Alobaidi, Employment Specialist at the Arlington Employment Center.

• 3:00pm-5:30pm: “Get Your Resume Reviewed”

Receive personalized feedback and guidance to help you refine your resume. Registration for this session take place at the event registration table. Please bring a hard copy of your resume to your session.

This workshop will teach you how to use Ai to help you learn about competencies for workforce readiness, find job opportunities, draft your resumes, and provide support for other activities to help your secure employment. Session Instructor: Dr. Padmanabhan Seshaiyer, Professor and Director of Center for Outreach in Mathematics Professional Learning & Educational Technology at George Mason University.

This workshop is designed to support individuals impacted by recent federal workforce reductions. This session will help participants identify and leverage their transferable skills and those valuable abilities gained through federal service that can be applied across a wide range of industries. Whether you're seeking immediate re-employment or exploring new career possibilities, this workshop provides tools, guidance, and resources to help you take the next step with confidence. • 4:15pm-5:30pm: Activate Your Resilience for Well-Being

In this session, you'll explore ways to build and strengthen your resilience muscles through experiential activities that will contribute to your well-being. You'll engage in practices designed to help you navigate challenging times and acquire resources to support your continued growth. You will leave this session with an action plan and resources to support your ongoing learning journey.
