This event is part of the museum’s continued outreach efforts into communities within the metropolitan DC area including Maryland and Virginia. The Lubber Run summer concert series has operated continuously since 1969. Arrive early to enjoy the food and festivities prior to the performance. The Cruisers perform at 8pm. The Cruisers are the Navy’s premier popular music group, featuring eight dynamic musicians. Formed in 1999, the group takes its name from the Navy's versatile, flexible, multi-missioned ship – the Cruiser – and the musicians and vocalists lives up to its namesake with the capability of playing a variety of musical genres ranging from jazz standards, rhythm & blues, classic rock, adult contemporary and pop, as well as original material.
