Take my Yellow, Give me Your Red er en poetisk performance af duoen ASAKJÆR, bestående af cellist/komponist Sarvin Asa og danser/koreograf Helene Düring Kjær. Med udgangspunkt i interviews med iranske kvinder er stykket formet af den sorg, som den aktuelle situation i Iran har forårsaget, men det rækker ud over grænserne og afspejler en universel længsel efter frihed og modstand mod undertrykkelse.
Gennem en sanselig blanding af live musik og contemporary dans i kompositioner og improvisationer giver kunstnerne stemme til disse kampe på en måde, der er både intim og symbolsk. Den visuelle installation omfatter tekstiler og elementer inspireret af persiske symboler fra det traditionelle Haftseen*.
Efter forestillingen inviteres publikum til en eftersnak, hvor de kan dele deres indtryk og få indsigt i duoens kreative proces.

Take my Yellow, Give me Your Red is a poetic performance by the duo ASAKJÆR — cellist/composer Sarvin Asa and dancer/choreographer Helene Düring Kjær. Rooted in interviews with Iranian women, the piece is shaped by the sorrow caused by the current situation in Iran, yet it reaches beyond borders to reflect a universal longing for freedom and resistance against oppression.
Through a sensuous blend of live music and contemporary dance, compositions and improvisation, the artists give voice to these struggles in a way that is both intimate and symbolic. The visual installation brings together large textiles and elements inspired by
Persian symbols from the traditional Haftseen*.
Following the performance, the audience is invited to an aftertalk in which they can share thoughts and gain insights into the duo’s creative process.
