Concert features the world premiere of a new symphonic work by Jacob Stone, age 16, who plays first horn in the orchestra. Concertmaster Maya Huet, age 15, performs the first movement of Kabalevsky’s Violin Concerto in C major, Op. 48. Maya won last year's Concerto Competition with her virtuosic performance of this piece.
