(NL)Een baanbrekende livesamenwerking tussen twee grote namen uit de avant-gardistische elektronische muziek: de vijfvoudig Grammy-genomineerde componiste Suzanne Ciani en Actress, één van de meest aparte en invloedrijke elektronicaproducers van vandaag.
Beiden hebben gedurende hun carrière blijk gegeven van een niet-aflatend verlangen om met hun projecten onnavolgbare muzikale omgevingen en ervaringen te creëren. Ciani vult de ruimte met onstuitbaar aanzwellende geluidsgolven, synthesizermelodieën en klankkleuren, die op een diep persoonlijke en bijna spirituele manier een verlangen uitdrukken naar verbondenheid en communicatie. De contrasterende sound van Actress klinkt dan weer heel industrieel en rauw, en creëert met opnames van stadsgeluiden een heel eigen ritmisch raamwerk.

(ENG) A groundbreaking live collaboration between two big names from avant-garde electronic music: the five-time Grammy nominated composer Suzanne Ciani and Actress, one of today’s most singular and influential electronica producers.
Over the course of their careers, both have shown an unrelenting desire to create inimitable musical environments and experiences with their projects. Ciani fills the space with irrepressibly swelling sound waves, synthesiser melodies and sound colours, which express a longing for connectedness and communication in a deeply personal and almost spiritual way. Conversely, the contrasting sound of Actress feels very industrial and raw, and creates a highly idiosyncratic rhythmic framework with recordings of city sounds.
What unites Actress and Ciani is the totally unique essence of their musical universe. In combining the power of their similarities and differences, a brand new, quadraphonic collaboration is born, in which they paint groundbreaking electronic landscapes in an immersive experience.
